Where are all of our Game of Thrones fans? You're going to want to read all about Daenerys aka Dany!  Forget about the blond haired, Mother of Dragons, prepare to meet the yellow lab wonder known to many throughout WNY as the Mother of Canines.
Dany came to Buffalo Cares after living her entire life as a puppy mill mama. At 8 years old, this mama likely produced a large number of puppies for her “owners”.  Since becoming a Buffalo Cares gal, she has lived in the lap of luxury. Dany is your typical sweet, silly, gentle labby girl. She loves to cuddle and often thinks she is a pint sized lap dog. One look in her sweet, expressive eyes, and you're happy to pretend she's that little. You will be hard pressed to find a girl more affectionate than Dany. If you're sitting on the couch reading/watching T.V., she will be right there with you with her head on your lap. If you're eating dinner, she will be curled up at your feet, usually snoring away. If you’re doing dishes, she stoically waits right beside you. Wherever you are, Dany will be right beside you!

Dany enjoys her toys! She enjoys stuffie toys, nylabones, toys that make crinkly noises, and toys that make no noise at all. In short, she doesn't discriminate when it comes to toys. Dany is housebroken and crate trained.  Along with being incredibly gentle with people, she is the same way with other dogs. She plays appropriately depending on which dog she is playing with. She does very well picking up queues from other dogs. When playtime is all over, you can usually catch her snoozing away with her buddy on the couch or sharing a dog bed.
Dany hasn't been with us that long, but is learning a couple of basic commands. She has mastered ‘sit’ and we are currently working on ‘stay’. She is incredibly food motivated, and is easy to work with it. Nothing gets this girl riled up. She isn't phased by the fire hall alarms across the street, or the sound of our neighbors hot rod pickup truck being fired up, or the neighborhood full of barking dogs (side note, we haven't heard her bark yet).

Now that she's experienced the good life, she's only looking forward and to all the treats, toys and cat naps one can enjoy!  Could you be her forever home?
