"Yona” means bear in Apache, and sweet Yona is like a little, soft, sweet, brown baby bear! Yona is a happy natured approximately 10 week old puppy, and she absolutely loves to play with her doggy siblings in her foster’s home. If you are looking for a new best friend to take on lots of adventures with you, that loves the outdoors and is athletically inclined, then this adorable baby if the right one for you! Though Yona is just a baby but has been doing very well with her potty training. She will need an adopter that is committed to helping her finish that. Yona may be young and small but she is extremely agile, strong, and loves to climb things (including all furniture), and would be an excellent prospect for agility, obedience, flyball, or any similar activity. The most ideal adopter for her would be an active person/couple/family because Yona is definitely not a couch potato!  She would enjoy long walks, hiking, or when she is old enough would likely enjoy being a jogging companion. She LOVES being outside and loves all types of dog toys. Though she could be an only dog, she would prefer a playful dog sibling, because her most favorite of all thing to do is play and wrestle with the resident dogs in her foster home. Yona is a very intelligent pup and learns new things very fast, and she also is very affectionate with her foster family. We expect Yona to only be a medium sized dog when fully grown.  Yona has met the cats in her foster home and wishes they'd play with her - but they don't quite feel the same way!
