Bessie is an absolute sweetheart!   From the moment we met her, she has shown nothing but love & happiness for everyone. Bessie's tail never seems to stop wagging as she must know how good her life is going to be now.

Bessie is an approximately 6 year old Foxhound mix who is still full of life. She enjoys her naptime but also enjoys playtime with her foster canine sisters. Bessie is the perfect blend of mellow, low energy with a sprinkle of playful. She loves to play chase and is respectful of the other dogs when playtime is over. She is mostly quiet in the home but will bark a little in excitement when you come home. Bessie loves being in the yard and watch the world go by. She does show interest in squirrels, small critters and birds in the yard. She will chase the squirrel up into the tree or keenly keep an eye on the birds flying over her head.... she is a hound after all. 

Bessie has  lived with multiple dogs, cats  and a 5 year old toddler. She is great with other dogs, cats & fantastic with kids! She is a very gentle girl and wants nothing more than to be by your side and soak up all the love. She will bond very quickly with her new people. Once she bonds with you, you have a friend (and a shadow) for life!

Bessie is housetrained and learning all her basic commands. She is also crate trained but will protest for a couple minutes when first in her crate. Once she files her formal complaint for being in the crate, she will just lay down and nap.

Bessie is pretty much a "plug in & play" type of dog that will fit into just about any home. If you are looking for an easy, low maintenance, perfect dog, Bessie is your girl!
