Please meet Eloise. She is a small 2 year old Beagle who came to us from a puppy mill where she was used as a breeder. She is very sweet and has the most beautiful light eyes. She gets along with dogs, especially her foster brother - they are becoming two peas in a pod! She also gets along with her foster family's three cats. In fact, she barely notices them. She does not love the cold, so as a result we are still working on housebreaking, however, she is improving. Any accidents she does have been on her puppy pads!
She is happiest when curled up on your lap or next to you. Although she still is wary of people standing, she went to PetSmart and Pet Supplies Plus and caused quite a stir when people saw her. She was great with all the attention and also loved her ride around the store in a cart. She has met the children next door and she let them pet and play with her. She sleeps nicely in a crate in our bedroom. She will come to you if you are sitting or crouched down, and every day she is becoming more brave. The world is a new place to her and she loves it.
