Hi, my name is Samantha!  I am a beautiful and healthy 6-year old German Shepherd.  I need a new home because my previous owner passed away.  I’m very sweet and very playful - I especially love my squeaky toys and tennis balls!  I’m a good watch-dog and bark when I need to alert my family to danger.  I’m also very talkative and will ask for what I want, which is usually for my foster mom to get out of bed, for my favorite treat (peanut butter on doggie biscuits) or for a ride in the car which I love very much.  I know how to sit, lay down and shake with either paw.  I’m very smart and could learn so many other tricks if you want me to.  I love to walk and am pretty good on a leash, although I am also very good in the park off my leash - I won’t stray too far or bother any people or dogs.  I get along with other dogs, and I have a best friend who lives on my street who is a pitbull named Natalia.  I’m good with kitties, although I sometimes want to play too much - if they give me a good swat, I respect them and will back off.  I would do best in a home with no children as I have not had much exposure to them, and they scare me a bit.  Kitties and other dogs are okay by me, though!  I am looking for my forever family - could it be you?  Samantha's adoption fee is $225.
