Description:
Hello everybody, my name is Charlie Girl! My friends at a local business found me one rainy afternoon staring in their sales window from the bushes. Those people there were so nice to me, they brought me inside and warmed me up. They kept saying “you poor puppy” and I was in so much pain. The emergency vet said I had a fractured pelvis & lots of abrasions on my legs. They waited for my owner to come forward but I guess they weren’t looking for me. Buffalo Cares saved my life, they stepped up to take me in, even though I had some serious healing to do and a lot of medical bills. When my foster mom saw my picture she said I looked so lonely and terrified, that’s when she knew she had to help me. The first time I came to my new foster home, my mom made me a comfy bed of blankets and laid down right next to me and I knew I wasn’t alone. For the next couple months I made several trips to the vet and stayed on strict crate rest to allow my back end to feel better. My legs got stronger, my fractures started to heal, and I starting spending more and more time outside of the crate! I love running with my foster boxer brother in the backyard. My foster mom and the vet were amazed at my progress; I certainly don’t let anything hold me back! They determined I don’t have to have surgery because part of the fracture healed plus I am small & young so I will be ok-I’ll just be a special dog! I have completely come out of my shell, I am no longer quiet and scared-I am a little ball of fun who doesn’t sit still, I am very playful, and always have my tongue out smiling ear to ear. My foster mom has trouble taking pictures of me because I am just a blur of fur. Now that I am feeling better, it’s time to learn some grown-up manners. I am housebroken, am learning how to sit, & I love giving kisses. I’m not sure what “toys” are, but I love following my humans around until I convince them to play with me. I’ve grown to love car rides, I’m still timid around new people, and love snuggling in my new Pj’s. There have been so many friends who have donated to my progress, helped me along the way, and followed my story. I have my own fan club and now after everything I have been through, I am ready for my forever home! My favorite home would be one where I get lots of attention, playtime, and naps. Will you be my new family? Charlie Girl's adoption fee is $225. All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.
