Our online auction starts at 9am on February 22, 2019 and will close at exactly 8 pm on February 27, 2019. I know this is a lot to read, but this is all the fine print and hopefully will answer your questions. Please take a few minutes and read the following if you plan to bid:
1) Please, please, please read the *entire* description of each item, located on each photo, prior to bidding. We want everyone to be happy with the item they are bidding on! Also, some items will be mailed to the winner, while others will need to be picked up at our next adoption event. Which brings us to....
2) If you are bidding on an item, please plan on picking the item up at one of the three upcoming adoption events:
Option A: to be determined
Option B: to be determined
Option C: to be determined
If you win an item and can not pick it up at one of these adoption events, please ask a friend or family member to pick it up for you (and let us know who it will be picking it up for you). We might ask you for ID at the time of pick-up to avoid giving your prize to the wrong person (especially if you pre-paid); this is for your protection!
3) Bidding: Please only bid if you plan to purchase the item for the price you are bidding. The highest bidder on each item will "win" that item for the price that they bid. If you have ANY questions, please ask them prior to bidding to avoid confusion. Also, each item has a minimum bid - that means that the first bid on that item must be equal to or greater than the minimum bid. Please bid in increments of at least $1. Also, any bids placed prior to the start time/date will be deleted to avoid confustion. Thank you for understanding.
4) Payment: Please pay within 24 hours of bid closing. Please alert us to how you plan to pay. You may pay via paypal (our preferred method): Donations@buffalocares.org. If paying through paypal - PLEASE be sure to select "friends/family" option so that we will not be charged Paypal fees.
If you wish to pay in person, you may pay us at the time of pick-up (at one of the three events listed above). If you are paying in cash at an event, please consider having exact change (we will, of course, do our best to accommodate change for you if you don't have exact change).
5) We could not have had this online auction without all of the wonderful donations. Thank you to all our donors!
6) Lastly, let's have some fun with this! Please remember that we are all unpaid volunteers and we are doing our best to keep everyone happy. We will answer questions and clear up any confusion that might arise as quickly and as politely as possible. We truly appreciate you stopping by (and congratulations if you've made it all the way to the end of this post)! Please open your hearts and wallets and remember that all proceeds will go directly to our rescue animals.

(May 23, 2019) --- Pegula Sports & Entertainment and the Buffalo Sabres Foundation are partnering with Tito’s Handmade Vodka , to host a One Buffalo Pet Adoption Event on Saturday, June 15 in the KeyBank Center Pavilion from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event, part of the Tito’s Vodka for Dog People program, will bring many of Western New York’s animal shelters and rescue groups together under one roof and allow the community to encounter a wide variety of homeless pets that are currently available for adoption – all in one location.
