Hi!  My name is Labatt! I'm here to tell you a bit about myself, and I hope you read my story the whole way through.

My name is Labatt Blue, you can just call me Labatt! My foster dad named me that because, for one, I am a purebred, blue tri-colored English Bulldog, and two, to commemorate the Labatt Blue silos in Buffalo! I am only a little over year old, and until I was saved from the puppy mill I was in, I had lived in a cage my whole life. I am having my puppyhood now, since I never had a chance to before. I have learned how to run all around in a yard because my foster family has a nice big fenced one. I've learned to walk with a leash, play with toys, cuddle on the couch, play with other dogs, and I LOVE my newfound freedom! Also, I'm fully crate trained, and almost full house trained, I just have a little accident once in awhile now.  I really love all the people I meet, big or small! I have a great time playing with the dogs that live in my foster's home, they have both boy & girl dogs, that are big & small, and I love them all! They do have a couple house cats too. I don't see them much because they hide from me. But, when I do see them, I just want to run up and sniff them all over. I am very curious and interested in them but I don't ever bite them. I am a lover not a fighter!

I had to have surgery on both of my eyes, as I had something called entropion, which is flipped under eyelids. I am glad I had the surgery, because it hurt everytime I blinked my eyes, but it doesn't hurt anymore now! I got neutered too at the same time they fixed up my eyes. You will have to understand a couple things about me, before you decide if I am the right dog for you. Dogs like me, English Bulldogs, can be "higher maintenance" than other breeds.  My eye and ear infections are cleared up now, but it will be important they are maintained.  I also need a high quality, grain free food to keep my skin and health in check!   We can't predict my future but it's important to be prepared for the maintenance and cost associated with the breed.
