Hello, my name is Jemma and I’m a sweet 8 year old American Bulldog mix with the cutest underbite this side of the Mississippi! I am very low maintenance and really just want a quiet home with a comfy couch or bed to relax on. I tend to move at my own pace but am pretty predictable. Once I’m fed or hydrated, I’m usually ready to go outside. But I’ll let out a “woof” to let you know if necessary. I’m housebroken and crate-trained but am responsible enough to be left out of the crate for hours at a time when you’re not home. 

I look forward to my walks but that’s about all the exercise I need. I have periodic bouts of energy and love rolling around to scratch my back when I’m happy – especially after I eat. I do like spending more time outside to explore, though – sniffing things is my favorite! My foster mom compares me and my folds to soft, velvety pudding and thinks I’m pretty smart. She says I have quite the personality and keep her entertained daily. I like affection but am not needy – I’m content to snuggle up by myself but will never refuse some pets and kisses.

I currently live with another senior female dog and we’re very respectful of each other, but I’d also be happy as an only pup. High energy dogs might be too playful for me – I just need to know I’ll have the space I need to relax. After being a mom to many babies, my foster mom says I’m the baby now!
