My name is Holly. My foster family tells me I am such a gorgeous girl, they can't believe my furever family hasn't found me yet! I must just be waiting for the right person to see me and think “that's the one!” I am very sweet and easy-going. I enjoy o ther dogs so much, I hope my new home has a brother or sister for me. I even like cats! Everyone tells me I'm pretty much the perfect girl and have the nicest personality and good looks to match.

When I came to Buffalo CARES, my body showed two signs of “less than standard” care. I was pregnant with a litter of puppies, and my tail was broken at the base. Three of my puppies, Nelly, Xavier, and Bane, are all big and beautiful now with families of their own! I'm so happy we all landed with wonderful people who will make sure we're taken care of from now on. Unfortunately, while my personality and happy spirit are unmarked by my history, my tail injury is the only tell-tale sign of my past. While my tail healed, I lost all control of my sphincter muscle and unfortunately it can't be fixed. My foster families have said “Holly, it's no big deal!” A few baby wipes each day and nothing is the worse for wear. I sometimes have little 'accidents' because my muscle doesn't contract, but everyone says it's better than peeing in the house! You can imagine how embarrassing this is for me to talk about, but if I touch your heart and you're considering me, my foster mom is happy to tell you more. She hopes someone out there will see that while my old injury still affects me, I'm a happy, healthy girl and a few seconds of extra tidying up is worth all the joy I'll bring them.
