Howdy! My name is Rebel! I am a German Shephard mix, about 4 months  old .  I have southern roots because I ’m  from Charlotte, North Carolina.  My brother &  I were left behind in a vacant home when our “owners”  moved. Some  nice neighbors were leaving out scraps for us  to eat. One day we were running in a very busy intersection,  when  a nice volunteer saw us,  scooped us up &  put us safely in her backseat. My brothe r &  I were both transferred to Buffalo CARES a week later.  Our past was a  very scary time for us, but man do I love my new foster home! It’s not empty, it’s filled with people who pet me, toys to chew on, plenty of food to e at, & even  a playmate!  My new family named me Rebel because I was so brave fending for myself living on my own.  My foster mom says she can’t believe I am actually a puppy, I  act so grown-up, easy-going, &  laid back. I am not high energy like the last puppy she fostered. I have bonded the most with my foster dad,  he says I’m very smart and  I like to cuddle my way  up on his warm lap. I’m so excited when he comes home every day! He sa ys my fur is so soft, plus  my markings  & furry ears  make me a very handsome guy.  He says  “Look at those paws! You will be big  someday ” .   I currently live w ith my foster brother  Weezy  –  when I came to my foster home, he showed me the ropes .  He said we don’t go to the bathroom inside the house,  only outside.  He also said the only thing we chew on is toys, he lets me share his!  I have  my  own crate, I go right inside it when they tell me to. Sometimes I lay down in there to take a nap. I have only been learning how to sit for a week, and I’ve got it down pat. This leash thing is new, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with it  but I’m sure I will find out .  Driving in the car is a perfect time for me to lay down and catch a snooze.  I’m a bit shy & hesitant with new people, but once I know they aren’t there to hurt me-I give them kisses  and “talk” to them !  I’m a well-behaved, cuddly  boy who  would love to have a permanent family of my very own to love forever.  Will you be my family ?
