Hi, I'm Zak.  I am an mix breed puppy. At the end of April 2016, my mom and us puppies made a very long trek all the way from Texas to Western New York as part of some very special rescued doggies! They say my mom is a Cattle Dog mix. My mom Molly was barely cutting it while nursing us 8 hungry puppies! We were lucky enough to all make it out together and be part of a transport to Buffalo C.A.R.E.S. Animal Rescue! I was moved right into a foster home with 4 adult dogs 30 lbs - 70 lbs and 1 other puppy that I met! I'm a little shy as this is a lot of change for a small pup like myself, but I love being pampered and getting to curl up with my foster parents. I am a bit on the scrawny side and have a great appetite! I've already discovered that I love most foods! I devoured my puppy food as well as some strawberries and melon, yum. I do tend to make a mess when I eat because I try to get as much as I can in my mouth at once, but I'm still learning that there will always be meals for me now. I have these great ears that really seem to catch people's attention! My foster mommy tells me that they will help me be a great listener and to learn quick, I hope she's right!  I am learning all sorts of things already.  I’m learning to go potty outside, sleeping in my crate, using my manners and how to walk on a leash!  I’m going to need some more practice though!
